Goals

I was reviewing my goals from last year, which I didn't even remember posting, and realized I didn't finish any of them. I'm hoping I might finish Witchy Wendy this year though.

She hath returned

The new storykeep sal has started, I picked Masquerade this time around but I need to print my page so it's on the back burner. Instead I've been working on Witchy Wendy again and I hope to finish her by the end of summer. Mermaid of the Deep sk is still in the works, I just hate working on her. I shouldn't have done 2 over 2 on 28 ct, it's driving me crazy.

Happy Stitching

After all the confetti stitching on Witchy Wendy and the SK Mermaid of the Deep, Midnight Secrets is making me one happy stitcher. I work on her when my hubby is using the computer and tonight in 1.5 hours I did over 200 stitches, more then two days work on the SK. I want to wait till I have more done on her before I post pics and tomorrow is last update for the SK for the Jan-Jun SAL on the HAED boards so they'll be a pic for sure.

Lazy Week

I've slowly working on SK Mermaid of the Deep, I'm not to fond of it so it's taking me a while. I also dug out Midnight Secrets by Selina Fenech, another HAED, and put 400 stitches in it this weekend.

I just got back from an Alaskan cruise on Sapphire Princess, what a trip! We're planning to go again in two years. I picked up this pattern while in Skagway and have already started it over one on 28 count fabric I've had from Silkweavers. I didn't have the exact colors listed and I might leave out the beige as I really like the color peeking out where it goes. I also picked up some purple yarn from Skeins in Juneau. What a nice lady!

SM4

I signed up for Sock Madness 4 on Ravelry. You would think that while I wait for the next round of sock madness to start I'd make a sock I can wear....oh no I have to cast on another coffee bean sock that won't fit with the gussets from hell that look so cool when they're all knitted up.

So far we've knitted a sock side to side, grafting 80 stitches together to make a tube we pick stitches up from for heel, cuff and toe. The cuff was then done in a tubular cast off.

I dyed the variegated myself.

Round 2 was the Cool Beans pattern in which I learned how to do colorwork.

Now we wait for the final 4 people to finish their socks we can move on to Round 3 but mean while I'm knitting a white and purple/pink sock and it looks spiffy.

Goals

After much contemplation I have decided not try and make myself stitch x amount per week. I noticed I tend to not stitch when I do that. On that note my goals this year are:
1. Finish Witchy Wendy
2. Knit 1 pair of socks a month or at least 12 pairs this year
3. Finish any UFO from my stash
4. Finish 2 pages from Midnight Secrets
5. Finish my Log Cabin Quilt
6. Finish 1 page of any third HAED design (I have soooo many charts)

Things I'd like to but may not....
Make a quilted tree skirt and finish Holly Angel.
