Today's Progress

There's a little bit of eye there and alot of confetti stitching. I realized this morning there was 100 stitches that had 21 different colors. I got to the last 6 of that block and each one was a different color. I'm gonna work on the face more later I hope.

Confetti Hell

When I started this I was so excited. I did all this black outlines and the black hat with plenty more black to come. Then I started to fill it in and this is bs! My current thoughts are god I need to work to a square with a big chunk of one color, there's got to be one in here. Freaking confetti stitches.

Slippers

I'm finally done knitting on these felted slippers which have been nothing but trouble for me. I forgot the first 5 rows and had to pick up and add them and so on and so forth, lol. I picked Witchy Wendy back up, put down the Christmas stitching for a bit. Have you ever pulled out a color for one of the HAED designs and thought, wait a minute that can't be the right color but go ahead and add it cause what the heck it may be right and you're just hoping that it blends in....bright red amongst all the oranges....here's hoping.

Progress

I have no picture updates but I thought I'd jot a short note to say I'm almost done with ocean in top left corner of Witchy Wendy and I picked up my sock again and have knitting on it. I have a scarf I've only worked on in church that is close to being finished. I think I'll make a pair of church socks next, something bright and colorful.

Floss

No pic post tonight. I just spent the last 4 hours wrapping floss only to find I'm still 5 short and have like 8 that are doubles. That's what I get for not double checking before ordering. I'm actually gonna drive to town and get the last floss I need. I worked on Wendy a little bit this morning and am gonna start filling space now.

Wendy 9/27/09

Went to church again this morning and worked on a plain garter stitch scarf. I figure I should run out of yarn next week. Then I worked off and on stitching on Wendy again this evening. I love how she looks. Can't wait for tomorrow when the rest of the thread should be here and I can start filling in space. It'll be nice to make sure my count isn't off, that'd be soooo bad.

A little color

I added some orange to the pumpkins and of course more black. Waiting for the 48 threads I had to order to come in to get some more color in.

Witchy Wendy

This is Sleeping Beauty which I worked on till Wednesday at my daughter's behest. There's a bit more than this done on her on the right side. She's been an UFO since we moved 2 years ago.


I've started and stashed a couple projects in the last few weeks trying to find something to hold my interest. Then I found Hannah Disney on HEAD. I started her Wednesday evening and this is how much I've done so far.
Part of her hat and the pumpkin hat a little bit of blue background. I had to order an additional 48 flosses to finish her.

This is one of those Secret Needle Night kits from www.secretneedlenight.com which I bought off of ebay. It's suppose to have May Flowers in Red on it but I don't like to limit when I can display my stuff. I wanted to go around it in red instead but didn't have enough thread so I moved my bee onto the flower and left off other bee and hive. It has velvet for the leaves and a thread that reminds me of sparkly fun fur in the middle with some seed beads to boot. It's perfect!


This is one I did a while ago, just reframed it to match Daisy Chain.


Winter Moon by Shepherd's Bush. Talk about a lesson learned with this one. I started it quite a few years back, lost the beads and the buttons. Started it way to far down on the fabric and ran out of room so I left off the vine at the bottom and all the beads except for what got put on when I started at the top by the moon.

The Maiden from Heaven and Earth Designs. It's a girl with a pink dragon, at least one day it will be.

Card Making

What a blast. I made three cards and got a stamp for the $12 it cost to go to the class. I think there is at least 2 classes next month and then in October there is a retreat I won't be going to. I figure I have to have equipment to take before I can go.

There's a building on fire between the class and home. I saw the smoke on my way to class and called 911. You have to press 0 if it's an emergency. That just blew my mind. It's 3 hours later and the road is still closed and the fire still burning.

I worked on my new cross stitch chart today. No pic tonight because I've got a few more hours of stitching on it before I head to bed. Will post one in the morning.

Finished!

I'm finished with my daisy chain elephant and am happy dancing away. She was a UFO from before I moved to Idaho over 2 years ago. Tomorrow I'm starting a new kit from Dimensions called North American Beauties and will try to post a pic of the kit. I got my paper trimmer today from Amazon.com and tomorrow will be my card making class. I'm pretty excited over it. Can't wait!

A backstitching we will go

As of 2:36am I'm all done stitching on my Daisy Chain and am left with the backstitching. I love blackwork so back stitching should be done today I hope. I was thinking, I have Andi's school thing this morning and card class tonight but just remembered that the card class is tomorrow. I gotta run am already late picking up the other two girls.

Humphrey's Corner

I love these elephants. I'm hoping to finish Daisy Chain today. I should at least get everything but the back stitching done. Well everything but the border that goes around them which I skip. I'm trying to just work on one project till I finish it so I hopefully finish a few.
